A United Community

The Isokan Island Community has never had power in their area. This has a devastating effect on the community including the fact that school children have to study by candlelight. The community has already raised money themselves to purchase 9 poles & 800m high tension wires to link the transformer to the bridge. This investment cost the community around 2.6 million Naira. Currently the island is in total darkness as there is no power connected to it. With funds expended from contributing the initial lap of wires and poles, the community cannot afford to continue project and this has a devastating effect on all that live in the community.
